Working with associate attorneys on what comes next
About Justin
Justin Daniel Shapiro is a recruiter at Holtz & Bernard, where he works with associate attorneys who are thinking about what comes next in their careers.
Justin is currently a law student at the University of Miami School of Law. Before law school, he spent three years as Governor Ron DeSantis's speechwriter. Before that, he was the research assistant to the editor-in-chief of National Review, where he continues to work as a copyeditor and fact-checker. He has also worked at a biotech investor relations firm and at a government services management consulting company.
He earned a master's degree in international relations from Columbia University and attended Johns Hopkins University as an undergraduate, with internships at the United Nations and the State Department in between.
At Holtz & Bernard
Justin takes the time to get to know the attorneys he works with: what they enjoy, what they want more of, and what would make a move worthwhile. Every conversation is confidential, and he never shares an attorney’s information without their permission.
His background as a speechwriter and fact-checker taught him how to tell a compelling story while getting the details right. He brings that same care to presenting an attorney’s experience to a firm. As a law student, Justin brings his own perspective to conversations about the legal profession and the choices attorneys make throughout their careers.
“Justin shares the values that matter most to us at Holtz & Bernard, both in his work and in how he treats people.”
